General
All items are shipped directly to you through the US Postal Service or UPS Ground, whichever is more economical. All media items (books, cassette tapes, CDs, DVDs, etc.) are shipped USPS Media Mail This is the most economical shipping method. If you wish any Media item to be shipped using USPS Priority Mail, please call before ordering to receive a shipping quote. All other items will be shipped USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground, whichever is the least expensive method. If you have questions concerning the shipment of any item, please contact us.

Shipping charges cover shipping costs, packaging and handling. Shipping charges are estimated based on cart total. In some instances, estimations may vary greatly from actual shipping costs. In any instance shipping costs exceed shipping fee charged, the buyer will be notified. The buyer must approve and pay for any additional shipping costs before the item will be shipped.

Insurance
Any fragile items will be mark "Insurance Required". Additional fees for insurance will be the responsibility of the buyer. If additional fees are required, the buyer will be notified before the item is shipped. The buyer must approve and pay for any additional shipping costs before the item will be shipped.

Shipping Methods
Shipping will be through the United States Postal Services or UPS. If you desire another shipping method, please call with your request. We will be happy to make other arrangements. Any additional shipping costs will be added to your order.

Customs Duty
Customs duty charges may be levied by the receiving country. These charges are the responsibility of the buyer.

Damage During Shipping
A great deal of care is taken when packaging your items for shipment. Occasionally accidents happen. If your item(s) arrives damaged and it has been insured, notify the shipping carrier immediately. All packages should be inspected upon receipt in the presence of the delivered. In the event an uninsured item is received damaged, please keep all original packaging materials and immediately email or call your vendor for instructions.

Product Returns
If you are not satisfied with your order for any reason, contact your vendor within five days of receving your order. Upon receipt of the returned merchandise, The Maine Shop will refund your purchase price, less shipping fees. No cash refunds will be issued for credit card purchases. All refunds will be provided through the account to which they were originally charged.
